Humbertalking has set our priorities, this month we are to:

Improve Road Safety around our schools.

Seasonal trends are: a. Tackling vehicle Crime

                                       b. Prevention of Residential dwelling Burglaries.

Domestic Related incidents: (nine investigations) 

Harassment x3, Assault x 3, Stalking x1, Public Order x2

Residential Burglary reports: (No Reports) 

Business Burglary reports: (No reports)

08/02/2026    Theft     A165, LONG RISTON – Make off without payment for fuel.

12/02/2026    Theft     North Street, ALDBROUGH – 2x copper boilers from rear garden.

13/02/2026    Theft     Aldbrough Road, GARTON – Parcel from doorstep. 

11/02/2026    Theft     Willow Grove, ALDBROUGH – Parcel from doorstep 

13/02/2026    Theft     Seaside Road, ALDBROUGH – Parcel from doorstep

11/02/2026    Theft     Grimston lane, GRIMSTON – Parcel from doorstep. 

19/02/2026    Theft     Mappleton Road, Gt HATFIELD– wooden fencing stolen

22/02/2026    Theft     Hull Road, Gt HATFIELD – Diesel taken from construction vehicle

13/02/2026    Theft     Crown Drive, SKIRLAUGH – unauthorised use of bank card

Vehicle Crime: (two investigations)

21/02/2026   Damage to vehicles bodywork, Main Road SKIRLAUGH

24/02/2026   Theft of PEUGEOT Van, Main Road, SPROATLEY

Damage: (One investigation)

23/02/2026    Graffiti damage to bus shelter, Main Street, SWINE.

Public order x 2, Sexual Offence x1, Harassment x3, Malicious Communication x1, Fraud x2, Dangerous dog x1 and 2x anti-social behaviour reported in February across the Mid Holderness ward area.

Improve Road Safety – around our school.

As with most other areas, road safety is something in which we can improve upon in our rural communities. Action –

As we enter the spring months, members of the Holderness Policing Team will continue to be out and about policing our roads to promote safe behaviour and enforcement of traffic laws. Officers will continue to support Bilton & Aldbrough Primary Schools to reduce traffic in the villages and encourage families to walk or cycle to school.

Intended outcome:

The intended outcomes are to: 

Education & awareness campaigns to reduce the number of casualties on our roads. Create a culture of road safety where individuals understand and practices safe behaviours.

Tackling Vehicle Crime

This period is always one of our busiest, however, we would like to offer reassurance to residents and a stark reminder to those intent of causing harm or committing offences, that we are out in force and ready to act against anyone involved in vehicle crime.

UPDATE - During February, reports of vehicle crime fell to two reports.

Action - aims to: 

Reduce vehicle related crime.   Raise awareness within the local community about vehicle security. Provide crime prevention advice to community members.

 

Intended outcome:

The intended outcomes are to: 

Reduce the number of recorded crimes related to Theft from Motor Vehicles (TFMV) Enhance security measures to protect the registered keeper.

 

Preventing Residential dwelling Burglaries.

This period is always one of our busiest, however, we would like to offer reassurance to residents and a stark reminder to those intent of causing harm or committing offences, that we are out in force and ready to act against anyone involved in vehicle crime.

UPDATE - During February, there were no reports of burglary.

Action - aims to: 

Reduce burglary related crime.   Raise awareness within the local community about property security. Provide crime prevention advice to community members.

 

Intended outcome:

The intended outcomes are to: 

Reduce the number of recorded crimes related to Burglaries.  Enhance security measures to protect residents.

4th- Wednesday     7:30pm   Riston Parish Council, Village Hall, LONG RISTON

7th- Saturday      11:30am     the Village Hall, Swine Lane, CONISTON

18th- Wednesday 7:15pm Catwick Parish Council, Village Hall, CATWICK

28th- Saturday      11:30am     the Village Hall, Swine Lane, CONISTON

Schools will be visited during the morning and afternoon commute.
